Chekhov's Mistress

BookExpo Photos

I liked the BookExpo poster:

But it’s funnier close up when you see one guy’s reading The Fountainhead and another is reading House Beautiful:

I’d have more photos, but it seems like the tireless Ed was ahead of me at every turn. Still, I have to put up my pic of Curious George because I do love celebrity sightings!

I had expected that most of my time spent at BEA would be sitting in on panel discussions, scribbling notes and reporting back here what I learned. Well, I think I learned a few things, but I didn’t manage to go to any panels. I arrived at one panel (where Laila was reading from her forthcoming book) as it was ending because I wasn’t aware the time had been changed. The others I went to were overcrowded and I didn’t have the patience to stand outside the door, peering over other people’s heads.

I could have used this:

I’ll have more to post later and by the time the convention is over I’ll summarize my impressions.
