Bookforum Summer Issue
As many others have noted, the new Bookforum is out. There seems to be an unusual amount of content available on-line with this issue, so this is an opportunity for any of you that don’t subscribe to taste the milk. You can sample a host of articles on Pynchon and a review of the new Vollman reader (which convinced me to put it on my TBB list). Bookforum is to books what Barons is to stock markets – a lot more depth and serious coverage than you will find elsewhere. It’s a must read.
Also in this issue, articles on W.G. Sebald and German literature, an interview with Katheryn Harrison, Madison Smartt Bell on Cormac McCarthy, Marjorie Perloff on Elfriede Jelinek’s The Piano Teacher and Wonderful, Wonderful Times, David Antin on Pablo Picasso’s The Burial of the Count of Orgaz and Other Poems, and much more.
