Chekhov's Mistress

Chekhov’s Mistress Site Update

by Bud Parr

Just a quick note that I’ve updated the site in a couple of minor ways:

I’ve made the comments accessible from the front page, so that if you want see comments, click on the word comments and they should just appear instead of taking you to an entirely different page. Hopefully, this will stimulate more comments (hint, hint).

I’ve updated the headlines page to reflect the latest posts from all (I hope) the same sites listed in the blogroll and I’ve made the excerpts a little bit longer to whet your appetite for visiting our friends in the blogoshphere.

Let me know if these changes cause any technical difficulties or slow things down for you and also let me know if you like these features.

Thanks!

p.s. I just want to add that I learned how to do many of the technical doodads here from Elise Bauer at the site “Learning Movable Type.”

I just put this comment here in case you wanted to see what the new comment system looked like.

Bud—everything works great (I just did a system upgrade yesterday, barely surviving the testing process!). I really like the expanded headlines section. It’s a little like having my own private lit feedreader!

The site looks great. All these redesigns, makes me want to buy new curtains or a rug just to spruce up my blog!
