See that Steve Reich post sitting over there – I failed to mention that I found the Carnegie Hall link (where my brother-in-law is performing at the very moment I write this – and where am I?) at Alex Ross’s blog – And Alex Ross wrote a terrific piece on Reich in the New Yorker – And Ross has a bunch of other Reich links on his blog.
Ross calls Reich “one of the greatest living composers” without even any qualifiers other than the living part. Good stuff…
