that so many poets and novelists I like are Nobel laureates because it seems so mainstream of me. Yet, add another to the list since the prize was awarded today to Orhan Pamuk “who in the quest for the melancholic soul of his native city has discovered new symbols for the clash and interlacing of cultures.”
