This is an old story, but usually dusted off this time every year: James Joyce’s grandson, who insists on being called “Stephen James Joyce” is something of an ass when dealing with scholars and seems to think a lot of himself based on the fact that his grandfather was a great writer. No matter, it does bring up interesting issues on copyright and privacy. Read it in the New Yorker (The Injustice Collector, June 19th)
