American Letters & Commentary

American Letters & Commentary is an eclectic literary magazine featuring innovative and challenging fiction, poetry, essays, translation, and critical opinion by renowned and up-and-coming writers.

Fiction Editor Eric Darton will introduce Olu Oguibe, reading Letter from Prester John, which was written for the magazine’s recent symposium, This is Not a Time to be Without Wishes: Writers and Artists Invent Another World.

Fence

Fence publishes poetry, fiction, and nonfiction by esteemed contemporary writers as well as excellent work from emerging and first-time-in-print writers, supporting those who might not be recognized or published because their work doesn’t “fit in” either the mainstream or within accepted modes of literary experimentation.

Fiction Editor Lynne Tillman will introduce Christopher Sorrentino, reading an excerpt from his short story Misapprehensions.

6×6

Each issue of 6×6 features the work of six innovative poets, whose work furthers their mission of publishing experimental and non-commercial literature. 6×6 has been published by Ugly Duckling Presse since 2000.

Editor Matvei Yankelevich will introduce Erica Weitzman, reading her poem Break.
