192 Books is pleased to host a rare appearance by award-winning writer Alice Munro, to be held at the Paula Cooper Gallery. Oscar-nominated actress Joan Allen ( Nixon, The Contender, The Bourne Supremacy and the forthcoming The Upside of Anger ) reads from the latest collection of stories, Runaway, which was awarded the prestigious Giller Prize in Canada this past fall for the best novel or short story collection in English. Ms. Munro is the author of numerous collections of stories including Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage; The Love of a Good Woman; and Open Secrets . Her work has been published in numerous magazines such as The New Yorker and The Paris Review , and translated into thirteen languages.
