A number that stuck in my head many many years ago was the $90,000 that the Rolling Stones reportedly made every minute while on tour – it’s probably a lot more now that they sell Mick Jagger action dolls, but no matter the amount, minutes add up pretty quickly – they might have a made a million dollars by the time I finish this paragraph.
Now when I tell you that Vidlit videos cost about $4,000 per minute you won’t even flinch. Unless maybe you’re an author thinking of having a book video produced. That does include distribution, although for a book video I’m not sure that means much more than putting it online. Leaves a lot of room for those pesky amateurs, heh.
The above info comes from an interesting post over at Book TrailerPark, which I mentioned not long ago just began its life under the auspices of the Book Standard site.
