Will Congress Ban Spanish Olives in their Martinis?

by Bud Parr

In a move that I suppose is mostly symbolic, Spain is withdrawing its 1300 troops (less than 1% of the total force) from Iraq. I think this is a bold move and a lesson to an arrogant administration. Maybe now the U.S. Congress, who renamed french fries to “freedom fries” last year, will stop putting Spanish olives in their martinis – Devastating! Even Secretary of State Powell is showing his true colors in airing his doubts about the administration’s strategy in the latest Bob Woodward book. Let’s have some more brave leaders dare to disagree with the Wizard behind his curtain.
